Centipedes and Millipedes 

Centipedes deliver a painful and dangerous bite. Centipedes have venomous bites that can cause pain and swelling.

Centipedes and millipedes  become a nuisance when they invade homes and other structures. These pests can enter homes through cracks and gaps in the foundation, windows, and doors. They cause damage to household items and create an unsightly mess. Centipedes carry and transmit bacteria such as Salmonella and Listeria, which cause serious illnesses such as food poisoning. Millipedes are  disease vectors. They are found in damp and decaying organic matter, such as leaves and logs, where they can pick up and transmit bacteria and viruses to humans. Millipedes carry and transmit bacteria such as E. coli and MRSA, which cause serious infections in humans.
